Definition

AI can merge creation and execution into a single continuous process. Generate the material tasks require—responding dynamically to new data, moments, and needs.

Purpose

To make To move beyond static pipelines toward living systems that both invent and act. Generative automation shifts automation from “doing faster” to “thinking with context.” accessible and interactive by translating thoughts, sketches, or photos into believable visual or experiential representations.

Design Guidance

  • Design workflows that accept defined and undefined inputs—AI should fill in the blanks.

  • Let generation feed automation: creation, personalization, and delivery should coexist.

  • Keep human oversight lightweight but present—users guide direction, not every step.

  • Prioritize freshness: AI should adapt to what’s happening now.

  • Build transparency into automation chains—users should see what was generated and why.

Example

A content system that not only schedules posts but also writes them, tailoring tone and visuals to trending topics or recent product updates—then automatically publishes them.
